The Bellevue Association is a group of private individuals, physicians, neighbors, and friends, who are dedicated to the continuation of the almost 300-year-old tradition of Bellevue Hospital Center to provide responsive, inclusive, and cutting-edge healthcare to every person who enters its doors, regardless of ability to pay.

Bellevue Hospital Center, the nurturing heart of New York City, has always aimed to balance medicine's twin obligations---enlightened and humane clinical care together with innovation in the service of that care---all within the unique environment of New York's global population.

Founded in the 1960s, The Bellevue Association encourages the private support of individuals and organizations to help Bellevue Hospital Center provide quality and compassionate healthcare delivered with dignity and respect.

There is no question that the fortunes of New York City and all its people, and the fortunes of Bellevue are connected in the oldest aims of public health---to improve the health of the group by improving the health of individuals.
